The seat, arms and footrest of the stairlift carriage all fold neatly away when not in use, making the Acorn 130 ideally suited to narrower stairs.

An Acorn 130 Straight Stairlift could be installed in your home within days of your order being placed, even next day if urgency is paramount. The installation itself typically takes only around an hour and is achieved without any major structural work or disruption. Once installed, a properly maintained Acorn 130 Stairlift will give many years’ reliable service. If no longer needed, it can be easily removed with hardly a trace that it was there.

The Acorn 130 Straight has all the features you need in a straight stairlift and none that you don’t. Like all Acorn Stairlifts, it is powered by durable rechargeable batteries located in the stairlift carriage. The batteries are topped up whenever the stairlift is parked, and if your home’s power supply is interrupted, your stairlift will continue to work for several return journeys. A popular option is a short hinged rail section at the foot of the stairs, so that the rail does not protrude into a walkway and cause a trip hazard. The maximum user weight of the Acorn 130 is 300lbs (19.9st), but a Heavy Duty version is available with an increased capacity of 350lbs (25st).
